So a couple days ago we celebrated Dan's first birthday in a foreign country! It was great day. To celebrate, we woke up super early in the morning...to finish our homework that was due that morning for language class because we didn't do it the night before. After our 4 hour language class we headed on back to our dorm room, tired from a long days study, and took a little nap. After we awakened from our nap, we headed on down with some other friends to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. Did you know that a burger at Hard Rock can cost anywhere from $12 to $24!!!! Yeah, a little expensive. I think Dan's favorite part of the night was when the waitresses sung Happy Birthday to him, in broken English. Sad to say, none of us were creative enough to throw an elaborate party for his first "overseas birthday". Though we did nothing too exciting for his birthday, it was great to hear him say by the end of the night, "This was my first birthday outside of the US. I'm really going to remember it." Good times!

I was peacefully riding my bike from my dorm room to the baseball field, like I do every Wednesday evening (it's about a 35 minute bike ride). There I was, cruising on my bike enjoying the crisp air and soft sun of Fall season. All of sudden I look to my right and here come 4 dogs running full blast towards me and barking as loud as they could. I looked to my left and there were 2 additional dogs coming my way. In case you didn't know, this city has thousands of stray dogs which run stick together in packs that roam the city in search for food and shelter. I've ridden my bike enough around the city to know that when dogs start coming after you, it's probably best to not try to outrun them. Why? Because they run pretty fast! And the faster you ride your bike, the more cautious you must be of your surroundings because of all the traffic and pedestrians. Well...I wish this time I tried to outrun them. Or at least kicked them in the face! One of the dogs took a couple good bites into my leg and my shoe. The dog broke skin and had my leg bleeding a little. Of course all this had me worried. Who knows what kind of diseases the dog has? I do have all my rabies shots up to date and a fellow concerned worker called the hospital and asked what should be done. Apparently the hospital said that I should be fine as long as I had completed my rabies immunization process, which I some months ago. So I cleaned it off and threw some hydro cortisone on it. It does kind of hurt a little when I walk up or down stairs, but other than that, it's been looking ok. All I can say is, "Why do dogs like attacking people on bikes?!?"

This wouldn't have happened if you were driving Jeep. Silly Brown Kid. Love you bro, hope your leg doesn't fall off.
Oh my gosh Peyton! I'm glad you are alive...I remember those crazy dogs over there...they scared the crud out of me...I'm impressed you're alive to be honest. Ya for the powers that be getting you up to date on rabies shots! Hope your burger at the Hard Rock was nice, and I'm excited to see what Dan and Mark do for your birthday...especially as it will probably be snowing by then. Stay safe, and it's good to hear you're doing well :)
Dude! I hope you don't get some weird disease or something! Take care bro (and carry something big to hit those dogs with when they chase you)
hahahaha.....sorry pey pey.. that looks like it hurts. but honestly, i wish i could have been there to see it!
I agree with frakey d. If you had been driving a jeep chances are they either would have licked you or cowarded away due to the rumble of the engine.
Hey man! The girls and I really enjoyed watching some of your videos together this morning. Thanks for a good laugh! I especially enjoyed your cooking show...it was just like those old dudes in America! You should be a television star or something. We're praying for ya! Call us anytime...as long as it's not too late, or too early, or the electricity isn't working, or we're not home...lol...messages are now being accepted.
it has been over a month...do you still have a leg?
